I can’t believe how time can fly sometimes. Looking at the calendar I don’t trust my eyes. It’s already the 23rd of January and it’ll be February 1st a week Sunday! Quite a bit has transpired since my last blog entry. I’ve joined Smashwords and am awaiting Chronokari Alpha: Time is Relative being distributed in storefronts such as Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and Apple. I had a bit of an issue with uploading the epub to Smashwords, but with the help of Hitch and the lovely folks at Booknook.biz, I was able to resolve the problem quite quickly. With the novella available in more storefronts and the print edition almost ready, I’m looking forward to what 2015 has to offer.
I’ve been having a blast tweeting and connecting to fans and other authors on Twitter, Facebook, IAN and Goodreads. As I’ve mentioned many time before, when it comes to indie-publishing writing the manuscript is the easiest part. Marketing, looking after distribution channels and navigating the various avenues for social media can seem daunting. Luckily, the internet is a wonderful source of information and there are several examples of best practices out there to cherry pick from.
The next step for me at this point is to continue to get the word out for Chronokari and to organize my mailing list and social media interactions. I’m currently looking at MailChimp and Hootsuite respectively to help me in those areas. After that it’s continuing to work on the next Chronokari adventure, completing the print version of Time is Relative and getting ready for the convention circuit to meet the public and introduce them to the world of Miles and Derrick.
